When stored in its sealed original containers at temperatures of 10-25 0C, Hardener RFE will remain stable for 6 months. During transportation and storage at low temperature, crystalline deposits may form. These re-dissolve at room temperature. RFE are highly sensitive to moisture and react with water to form carbon dioxide and insoluble ureas. The containers must therefore be kept tightly sealed. Exposure to air and/or light intensifies discoloration but this has no effect on the processing properties in general.

Usage:
|
Hardener RE is crosslinking agent for solvent based polyurethane and polychloroprene rubber adhesive for automotive , synthetic rubber/metal bonding of roller , converting belt ,primer of rubber . After adding of Hardener RE, two-component adhesive must be used within its pot life. At the end of the pot life, usually be several hours , the adhesive becomes increasingly difficult to work and its viscosity increases rapidly. Fi¬nally, irreversible gelling occurs. The following guide values can be used in determining the addition by weight. To crosslink 100 pbw adhesive: S/B hydroxyl polyurethane adhesive (solid content: 15-20%) 4 - 7 pbw Hardener RE
S/B chloroprene rubber adhesive (solid content: 15-20%) 4 - 7 pbw Hardener RE
